“They’re at it again with fetishizing intersex people. And this character looks like a baby. ’18 years old’ my ass, they look like they’re seven.”

Content warnings: Anti-intersex, transphobic slurs, explicit artwork of a character who appears to be underage

I agree, that character definitely doesn’t look like an adult. Compare this concept sketch of the character in question with the finished version.

I also noticed the filename for that image on K. M. Claude’s website is dertoddler-sfw-rs.png. According to Claude, this is supposed to be a pun on ‘der Tod’ (German for ‘death’) and Toddlers in Tiaras, a show about little girls who enter beauty pageants. I think it’s safe to assume the character was really intended to be a child, and Claude just added the age disclaimer to avoid getting in trouble.

They also refer to the character as a ‘futa’ in this post. ‘Futanari/futa’ is a slur against intersex people and trans women.

“The fact that you’re comfortable using ‘futa’ after being made aware that it’s a slur against intersex and trans people a.) proves you’re a disgusting, bigoted cockroach and b.) you deserve to fucking rot.”

kmclaude:

Nowhere in its usage in its native language or in English is a slur. When discussing a word, I will use the word as that as the subject for discussion and unlike you I prioritize people over loan words.

Here’s a good explanation taken from your original receipts blog:

”It’s [futanari/futa] considered a slur because it’s almost exclusively used in pornography to objectify [and degrade] people.

  • It’s a slur against intersex people because ‘futanari’ means ‘hermaphrodite’
in Japanese. ‘Hermaphrodite’ is a slur against intersex people.
  • It’s a slur against trans women and transfeminine people because people
often use it to describe trans women/transfeminine people in a demeaning way.”

[Screencap: “Pretty sure that’s about that comic you made that receipts blog reblogged, which apparently everybody takes as you saying that being aro-ace is just as legitimate as being a pedophile, which is.. quite the leap of faith?”]
kmclaude:

Now I’m trying to remember but I do think I know which one. Regardless, if you wanna get really fun and technical and in a really awkward place for mental health everywhere, what we know about paedophilia points to it operating for all intents and purposes similar to a sexual orientation. So technically they are both legitimately forms of sexual orientation in a scientific sense of operation or rather genesis HOWEVER paedophilia hits all the qualifiers of psychological abnormality besides just being not normal – it also causes distress, is deviant, would result in dysfunctional relationships and obviously a dysfunctional sexuality, and can pose a danger. Asexuality is just abnormal (we are! We are statistically and scientifically abnormal!) Which is why we need to study paedophilia more to see if it fully operates as an orientation or something else – because the former can’t currently be changed bar chemical castration (and I wonder how or if one could chemically castrate a female bodied individual to where there’s no libido? So we’d have to study female sexual functions more too!) and the latter means we need more study to figure out wtf it is.

Science: that shit’s complex. More complex than most casual tumblr users can handle. Which is frustrating for insufferable know it all’s like me

Link to the comic Claude is referring to.

Quit comparing asexuality to pedophilia. In fact, quit treating pedophilia like it’s a sexual orientation because that only makes pedophiles feel justified about being attracted to children.

Also, instead of describing AFAB people as ‘female-bodied’ you need to say ‘assigned female at birth’. ‘__-bodied’ implies that person is inherently male or female regardless of how they identify, which is a form of misgendering.
