“Well again what I or anyone believes or doesn’t believe doesn’t much matter. What ultimately matters is how we treat each other. It sucks that their belief upset you but honestly, who cares what they think if when the chips are down they act justly – if say they meet someone who identifies as nonbinary and asks for gender neutral pronouns and they acquiesce.”
Claude’s response to someone asking if they think non-binary people are valid.
If someone thinks non-binary people aren’t valid, they probably aren’t going to treat them with respect or use the correct pronouns. Excusing bigotry with ‘That’s just their beliefs’ only enables it.
Response to this.
Oh yeah, they’re definitely a hypocrite when it comes to criticism. From K. M. Claude’s Twitter:
“My view: If you paid money for it [Claude’s comics], I figure ya got some right to bitch because IDC I got my cut. If you’re reading for free? Have a seat.”
The fact that they misgendered someone in the process just makes it worse.
[Panel 1: K. M. Claude reading a Tumblr post. It says, “*Post grossly infantilizing asexuals, conflating sexual inactivity with childishness and immaturity, as if all aces care for are dragons and crayons.”]
[Panel 2: K. M. Claude looking slightly annoyed, reading a Tumblr post. The post says, “Aro/Ace=Straight. Asexuals are not queer (Unlike me, a demi-lithromantic, bug gender alien.”]
[Panel 3: K. M. Claude: “And people blame us weird, non-con, incest, underage, and otherwise ~problematic~ kink-havers for why Tumblr is a fucking cesspit, Christ…”]
