“Claude really seems to be into using slurs. Like for a trans man he uses ‘tranny’ so fucking much that it’s creepy.”

I don’t think K. M. Claude realizes how harmful slurs are. He thinks that if he personally isn’t offended by something, no else is allowed to be.

Examples:

  • Claude has repeatedly used the term futa/futanari in reference to porn, even though many people have told him that it’s a slur against trans women and intersex people. [x], [x], [x]
    • He also tried to argue that ‘futa’ and ‘cuntboy’ had nothing to do with trans people, even though many people use those words as slurs against trans people.
  • He thinks trans men can call themselves dykes. [x], [x], [x]
  • Claude never tags or warns for slurs when he uses them in his posts.

“A cis person asked Claude if liking porn that fetishizes transfolk is okay or not. Three guesses as to how Claude responded. Hint: It was gross.”

From the post in question:

“Dude, it’s just drawings. Who fucking cares, enjoy it. Besides, futa and cuntboys ain’t trans so please don’t feel guilty or let anyone make you feel bad for liking that shit.”

If the characters in futa/cuntboy porn aren’t supposed to be trans, then why do people see them as interchangeable with trans people? Why do people use the terms ‘futa’ and ‘cuntboy’ as slurs against trans people? Fact is, cis people who consume and produce this kind of porn are harming trans people, because they’re treating us as if our existence is inherently deviant and reducing us to a fetish.

(Also, FYI, futa/cuntboy porn harms intersex people too.)

“I know you’ve probably heard this a lot (or maybe not), but you shouldn’t really tag pictures of girls with dicks as #futanari, or even call them that ‘cos its super offensive and rude to trans girls.. Am I telling you not to? Not really but.. it’s just kinda shitty to do.”

Sniggy: “There’s no real consensus on this in the trans community.”

K. M. Claude: “I’m gonna borrow this response if ever again I need it (as I’m not done with, as Mr. Cat calls it, Pomp-chan, and honestly ‘male futa’ is the best descriptor) because it’s true and just that simple.”

Source.

Here’s the thing – ‘futa/futanari’ is a slur. And like all slurs, you don’t call someone that unless they’ve told you they’ve reclaimed it and are okay with that.

Also FYI ‘futa’ is a slur against intersex people too.

“They’re at it again with fetishizing intersex people. And this character looks like a baby. ’18 years old’ my ass, they look like they’re seven.”

Content warnings: Anti-intersex, transphobic slurs, explicit artwork of a character who appears to be underage

I agree, that character definitely doesn’t look like an adult. Compare this concept sketch of the character in question with the finished version.

I also noticed the filename for that image on K. M. Claude’s website is dertoddler-sfw-rs.png. According to Claude, this is supposed to be a pun on ‘der Tod’ (German for ‘death’) and Toddlers in Tiaras, a show about little girls who enter beauty pageants. I think it’s safe to assume the character was really intended to be a child, and Claude just added the age disclaimer to avoid getting in trouble.

They also refer to the character as a ‘futa’ in this post. ‘Futanari/futa’ is a slur against intersex people and trans women.

“The fact that you’re comfortable using ‘futa’ after being made aware that it’s a slur against intersex and trans people a.) proves you’re a disgusting, bigoted cockroach and b.) you deserve to fucking rot.”

kmclaude:

Nowhere in its usage in its native language or in English is a slur. When discussing a word, I will use the word as that as the subject for discussion and unlike you I prioritize people over loan words.

Here’s a good explanation taken from your original receipts blog:

”It’s [futanari/futa] considered a slur because it’s almost exclusively used in pornography to objectify [and degrade] people.

  • It’s a slur against intersex people because ‘futanari’ means ‘hermaphrodite’
in Japanese. ‘Hermaphrodite’ is a slur against intersex people.
  • It’s a slur against trans women and trans-feminine people because people
often use it to describe trans women/trans-feminine people in a demeaning way.”
