“YOU CAN GO TO SCHOOL FOR THAT?!?! God – OK seriously like that’s my dream. My dream job is comic artist and/or the kinda person who works in rehabilitating sex offenders or EVEN BETTER helping preventing such offenses LIKE WHAT THEY DO AT PREVENTION PROJECT DUNKELFELD (but I don’t speak German so that’s a tad difficult) because it just interests me so much.”
Yeah, we all know why you’d want to work around pedophiles and sex offenders, K. M. Claude. You can claim all you want that you want to keep them from offending, but your actions tell a different story:
Content warnings for pornographic, gory artwork of children and pedophile apologism.
“Should the mermaid story really be a comic? Should it stay as a short story? Should it be an illustrated short story, as if it were an ultraviolent pornographic children’s book? Should I just give up? So many questions…”
Why couldn’t Claude just describe this as an illustrated short story? Comparing it to an ‘ultra-violent, pornographic children’s book’ in light of how Claude depicts pedophilia and child abuse sounds… not good.
“but also i’m reminded of that one iconic moment from america’s next top model where this one girl is like sobbing and throwing a tantrum over a missed cab and one of the models goes “I just wanna tell you that some people have war in their countries” – like there are literal child and teen molestation scandals coming out like we time traveled to goddamn 2002 and 2003 with the Catholic Church scandals and then Michael Jackson’s scandals but hey, you know, harassing a queer indie artist who creates content specifically about how abuse fucks you up (so, you know, abuse is bad is the only logical conclusion) is really sticking it to the man and helping people.”
There’s a lot to unpack here. Content warnings for pornographic artwork of children and K. M. Claude defending pedophilia.
You’re using the ‘Appeal to worse problems‘ fallacy. Just because there are sexual abuse scandals going on right now doesn’t mean people can’t care about Internet pedophiles like you.
Also, people have every right to be concerned since the line between a non-offending pedophile and a child molester is razor-thin.
Just because you don’t like kids in general doesn’t mean you aren’t sexually attracted to them (For people who haven’t heard about K. M. Claude, read this list for proof that he’s a pedophile). Sexual attraction to someone doesn’t necessarily mean you want to spend time with them on a regular basis.
According to Claude, the merpeople in this proposed story have an entirely separate moral system, and also practice necrophilia. Considering the way he’s portrayed these things in the past, it feels like an excuse to promote them as fetishes.
“Dude, it’s just drawings. Who fucking cares, enjoy it. Besides, futa and cuntboys ain’t trans so please don’t feel guilty or let anyone make you feel bad for liking that shit.”
If the characters in futa/cuntboy porn aren’t supposed to be trans, then why do people see them as interchangeable with trans people? Why do people use the terms ‘futa’ and ‘cuntboy’ as slurs against trans people? Fact is, cis people who consume and produce this kind of porn are harming trans people, because they’re treating us as if our existence is inherently deviant and reducing us to a fetish.
(Also, FYI, futa/cuntboy porn harms intersex people too.)
“Well again what I or anyone believes or doesn’t believe doesn’t much matter. What ultimately matters is how we treat each other. It sucks that their belief upset you but honestly, who cares what they think if when the chips are down they act justly – if say they meet someone who identifies as nonbinary and asks for gender neutral pronouns and they acquiesce.”
Claude’s response to someone asking if they think non-binary people are valid.
If someone thinks non-binary people aren’t valid, they probably aren’t going to treat them with respect or use the correct pronouns. Excusing bigotry with ‘That’s just their beliefs’ only enables it.
